SLCC Design 1120 Projects
Jude Davis
Jack & Jill
In This project we were tasked with recreating the rhyme of Jack & Jill with no text and a limited number of selected images. Storytelling with limited resources.
Line As Value
In this project we were tasked to create black and white cubes of value on greyscale, the darker the grey the heavier the line value. We were given a black and white photo of a red panda to practice with as well as a worksheet.
Graduation Map
In this project we were tasked to create a graduation map, we looked through required classes for our specific majors and organized them to create a semester-by-semester guide to what classes we would take and when, while using principles of design.
Icons
In this project we were tasked to create 4 icons of selected topics that weren't too detailed but were clear what they represented.
Illusion Of Space
In this project we were tasked to learn about ways to create illusions of space in 2D art, we then selected 3 types of perspective to recreate in our own image. In this case I selected aerial perspective, overlapping and 2 point perspective to make an illustration of Samara.
Symbolic Solutions
In this project we were tasked with creating recognizable symbols based on three shapes. A triangle, square and circle. We could do this digitally or traditionally, using grids to ensure we stayed consistent with the selected shape we based our symbols around.
