Word Arrangement
The direction of our word arrangement project was to choose two words to be connected with the & symbol, and after sifting through and deciding what fonts or typefaces we wanted to use (our options were limited to what typefaces and fonts we had already studied as a part of this class) we hand-inked the words and presented them in class.
I learned a lot from projects like this, especially things I can improve on such as keeping a steady hand and not adding unnecessary elements. The feedback was effective and positive, and helped me learn how I can improve my projects in the future.

Postcard Design
Our postcard design project revolved around taking a fictional fashion show ad and creating a relevant and attractive advertisement postcard that you would receive in the mail. Using markers for a photo indication to draw a model of our choice we were tasked to digitally create the inside of the postcard. I really enjoyed this project because I enjoy creating an image aesthetic, along with the photo indication practice. I was satisfied with my result, and felt I expressed the high end fashion aura effectively -- with feedback from my professor and peers I was able to amplify my design and refine it to give it the clean cut and fashionable look required.

Ad Headline Redo
This was our first physical project, and, as you can see I struggled quite a bit -- my hand was not steady and I struggled with proper kerning and positioning. My words are slanted, and floating around the page. My professor addressed these issues and helped me learn what I could do better, to take more time and care with how and where I placed my letters when doing projects such as this. He approved of my overall layout of the letters, a skirting descent from top to bottom, but my letter placement had a lot to be desired. I feel as I progressed after this assignment I improved and took the feedback effectively.

Newsletter Project
This is our final project -- the newsletter. We were given the choice between two topics -- pets or travel. I chose to write about spooky locations in France as a travel category, and enjoyed doing the photo indications and illustrations for this newsletter. Over the course of a couple of weeks with feedback from my professor and classmates I was able to fix layout issues, ensure the page layout was correct and ensure that the aesthetic is appealing and legible. I truly enjoyed this project and seeing the results of what I have been taught up until this point.

Included here are additional projects that were done for this class -- our photo indication practice, original letter kerning assignment and the digital ad series assignments. Anything that involved the ability or option to sit down and illustrate something was very exciting for me, and I felt I would excel in. My professor had a huge hand in helping me organize and understand that arrangement of visual elements are important, that choosing the right typeface is important, and that even the smallest detail can truly make a huge difference.
